Enhancements & Filled Gaps
Payment Posting Improvements
Until now we were unable to auto-post some ERAs when any line items within the ERA failed to post. Posting individual line items resulted in several postings with the same check number.
With this release, we are now using SimplePractice’s updated API which allows us to post individual line items from an ERA with the same check number. At SimplePractice, these individual posts from the same ERA will be grouped under the same check number.
The RevOps will have to continue to manually post any individual line items that failed due to an error, or if an appointment was deleted. This will help the RevOps team save a considerable amount of time.
Added error messages when file uploads do no have unique names
Currently, files uploaded to a task must have unique file names. If a file is uploaded with the same name as a previously uploaded file, there is no indication to the user why the upload fails.
With this change, when the file upload fails, an error message is displayed “File name already exists. Please update to a different name before uploading the file.
Added 277CA Parsing Logic
After an ERA is received, additional acknowledgments can be received from the payer which can incorrectly update the current status of the claim.
When a 277CA is received, additional logic was added to check if an ERA has been received before the claim status is updated.
